With great sorrow and sadness, but with hope, we regret to announce the falling asleep in the Lord of Archpriest Emile Hanna on Thursday, November 30, 2017 in California.

A Ninth-Day Memorial Service will be held  in our Cathedral on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 10:00am.

Beloved son of the late  Archpriest  Habib and Khourieh Ghandoura Hanna.

Loving husband of  Claudette (Bourada).

Caring  father of David (Lisa Seaton) and Nadine (Jim Potts).

Cherished grandfather of Emily, Madeline, Ella, Grace and Lilly.

Dear brother of the late Fayez Hanna, the late Saide Karam (Georges), the late Yvette El-Dabaghi (late Hanna), the late Samir Hanna (Angela) and the  late Georges Hanna (Haifa).

The memorial is offered by the very Rev. Fr. Ghattas, Rev. Fr. Nektarios, the Parish Council and all the faithful of St. Elias Cathedral,  also offered by Fr. Emile’s nephews and nieces: Nabil El-Dabaghi, Imad Hanna, Elie, Fouad, and Tony Karam; Lodi Nassrallah, Raghida El-Chakieh, Joumana Nassrallah, his cousins: Adla Awad, Chahla Gharib and Nicolas Hanna and by  his second cousins:  Michel, Jean, Georges, Nicolas, Elie and Joseph Hanna.

Archpriest Emile Hanna has served this parish for many years and has many relatives and friends in Ottawa.

May His memory be eternal!
