Antoine Obaid
Passed away in Ottawa on Tuesday December 8, 2020 at the age of 59.
Beloved husband of Wafaa Chalabi.
Devoted  father of  Imad and Mike.
Much loved son of the late  Michael Obaid  and Afifeh Sulaiman of Syria.
Loving brother of Issa Obaid (Khawla Barhoum), Nabil Obaid (Afaf  Sayegh), George Obaid (Hayat Sukariye), Hanna Obaid (Nuha Khoury), Elias Obaid (Dima Bashour), Rizk Allah Obaid (Lamis Obaid) and  Rami Obaid ( Randa Alsaify).
Caring uncle of Michael, Elie, Alin, Gisell,Basel, Bashar,Johnny, Michael, Alan, Anna Marie, Nicolas and Andre Obaid.
He will be dearly missed by the Obaid, Chalabi, Suleiman, Barhoum, Sayegh, Sukariye, Khoury, Bashour and Alsaify  famillies of Canada, Syria, UAE and Germany.
The family will receive relatives and  friends on Friday, December 11, 2020  from 10:00 to 10:30 am at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral – 2975 Riverside Drive followed by funeral service.
Interment Beechwood Cemetery.
Due to government regulations, only 160 people are allowed in the cathedral at the same time.
Face masks and social distancing guidelines are in effect.
In memory of Antoine, donations to St. Elias Cathedral would be appreciated.
