Passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 1, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones.
Beloved son of the late Yunis Mahfouz and the late Ghalia Mahfouz (née El Chamaa).
Loving husband of Karime Mahfouz (née Awada).
Much loved father of Ghayla Elhaje (Borhon Elhaje), Ada Mahfouz (late Refaat Ali Mahfouz), Ataf Mahfouz, Mary Awada (Ayman Awada) and Hanan Mahfouz.
He will be dearly missed by his 16 grandchildren – Samiae Elhaje, Ali Elhaje, Ahmed Elhaje, Iman Elhaje, Hala Elhaje, Ali Mahfouz, Fattin Mahfouz, Fadia Mahfouz, Fady Mahfouz, Ahmed Mahfouz, Marlene Mahfouz, Kristene Mahfouz, Jasmine Mahfouz, Sanaa Awada, Ali Awada, and Ramiz Awada; and his 11 great-grandchildren.
Dear brother of Jamil Mahfouz, the late Mohammad Mahfouz, the late Zarife Mahfouz, the late Samiya El-Hajj, the late Abdul-Karime Mahfouz, the late Mahfouz Mahfouz, the late Latife Ghazie, the late Toufiq Mahfouz, and the late Salime Mahfouz.
Prayer service will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Ottawa Main Mosque – 251 Northwestern Ave. after Zuhur prayer at 1 p.m.
Burial services will be held at the Highland Park Cemetery – 2037 McGee Side Road (Carp) immediately after Janaza Prayers.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the Ottawa Main Mosque on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday July 3, 4, and 5, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
He will be forever in our hearts.
