September 9, 1933 – October 22, 2016.
Our beautiful, courageous and wise mother, has taken her final steps into the arms of our Lord and the waiting embrace of our dear father, André.
Cherished  mother of  Carol (Luigi Della Penta), David (Hoda), Esther (Claude Doucette) Frances (Louis Rankin), Gina (Georges Younes), Peter (Stacey).
Devoted Sito ‎to Andrew (fiancé Sarah Pullara), Keenan, Marco, Gabriel, François, André, Kyle, Sydney, Marshal, Laura and Julia who filled her life with pride and joy.
Loving sister of Mike, John (Jackie), Raymond, Eddie and Gloria.
Also loved dearly by her in-laws Elias (Montaha), Anissa, John (Yolla).
Fondly remembered by her Aunt Renée.
Predeceased by her sister Madeleine,  brother Simon, in-laws Takla and Georges, Semaan, Nadia, Carol and Jean-Louis.
Aunt Bertha will be joyfully remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Heartfelt thanks for the care and compassion of Mom’s incredible care team at the Ottawa Civic Hospital.
We will miss this amazing woman whose love and laughter will fill our hearts forever.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the Sacred Space of the Beechwood National Memorial Centre, 280 Beechwood Ave. (East of Vanier Parkway) on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 26 at 11:00 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Melkite Catholic Church, 1161 North River Road, Ottawa, followed by Interment at Beechwood Cemetery.
