Passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at the age of 84 .
Beloved husband of Laurice Abou Assaf.
Loving father of Naim (Diana Merhej), Georges (Sawssan Abou Younes), Jocelyne (Fouad Ibrahim), Rana Jeries all of Ottawa and Marie (Simon Saikaly) of California.
Cherished grandfather of Brenda, Melanie, Andrea, Elie, Laurice, Elissa, Marita, Joyce, Francesca, Tatyana, Grace (Sameh Louis), Joelle and Charbel.
Dear brother of the late Afifi (Hanna Chaker) of Lebanon.
He will be missed by his nieces and nephews, Ghassan Chaker, Tony Chaker, Boutros Chaker, Antoinette Melhem and Marie Chaker all of Lebanon.
Elias will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family and friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, October 31, 2019  from 5:00  to 9:00 pm at  Beachwood Cemetery – 280 Beechwood Ave, Vanier, ON K1l 8A6
Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019, at 11:00 am at saint Charbel Parish Ottawa, Maronite Catholic Church, 245 Donald St.
