Born in Zhelte, Lebanon.
Passed away in Ottawa on Monday, July 8, 2024, at the age of 96.
Beloved wife of the late Maroun Elias Nassif.
Loving mother of Josephine (Wissam Boutros), Joseph (Liliane El-Haj Assaf), and Aida (Badwi Tarraf).
Cherished grandmother of Joseph (Liane), Christina, Elias (Jackie), Maroun (Vivian), Anthony (Lisa), Diana (Orlando Gamboa), Joseph (Marie-Joe) and Mary; great-grandmother of Andre, Jasmine, Lucca, Aria, Charbel, Bella, Esther, Sophie and Nicolas.
Dear sister of Hind; predeceased  by Fr. Ibrahim Daher, Mariam and Hneineh;  brothers-in-law Nassif, George (Amira), Taj, and sister-in-law Rose.
Eugénie was a simple and devoted lady whose innocent, contagious smile and relentless efforts ensured the happiness of everyone around her. Her life was a testament to love and nurturing, always placing her family first. Her peaceful passing, surrounded by her children, reflects the serene and devoted life she led.
A devout Maronite, Eugénie had a special bond with Mother Mary, which guided her throughout her life. Her faith was unwavering, and she embodied the virtues of compassion and humility.
Let us come together to honor the beautiful life of Eugénie and cherish the memories of her love and warmth.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at Beechwood Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Ave., Ottawa, ON K1L 8A6 .
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 11:00 am at Saint Charbel Parish Ottawa, Maronite Catholic Church, 245 Donald St.
