Passed away peacefully on Thursday,  August 20, 2020 at the age of 87.
Beloved husband of the late Nohad El Hajj Abourizk.
Dear son of the late Youssef and Lucia Abourizk of Lebanon.
Loving father of Suzanne (Bassem Ouais), Elie, Vivianne  (Fady Tohme), Liliane  (Joseph Rif), Antoine (Gabrielle Smith) and Michel.
Caring grandfather of Ghassan, Bashir, Bassel (Saria), and Mira Ouais; Samir and Omar Tohme; Tony, Carine and Melissa Rif; Anthony and Samuel Abourizk.
Much loved brother of Dib Abourizk (late Alice) and Najat (Ibrahim Saikaley) all of Ottawa; Maroun Abourizk (Rose), Georgette (late Khalil Smiley), Elias Abourizk (Nathalie), Michel Abourizk (Zalfa) and Sleiman Abourizk (Claude) all of Lebanon.
Dear brother-in-law of Nelly  (George  Abou-Rjeili) of Ottawa,  Antoine El Hajj (Paulette), Elie El Hajj (Noha), Samir El Hajj (Fadia), Samia (Chehade Kamel) all of Lebanon.
He will be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews , relatives, friends  and  the families of Abourizk, El Hajj, Ouais, Tohme, Rif, Smith, Saad, Howayek, Khouzami, Kraychaty, Tabet, Khouiery, Smiley, Saikaley, Salem, Lamaa, Abou-Rjeili, Kamel and Sawaf.
The family will receive relatives and friends  on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Ave., please CLICK HERE to register.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 10:30 am in St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Drive, followed by burial at Beechwood Cemetery.
Due to government regulations, only 160 people are allowed in the cathedral at the same time.
Face mask and social distancing is a must.
