Passed away peacefully in Ottawa on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the age of 68.
Beloved wife of Joseph Abou-Eid.
Much loved mother of Josie (Ali Toghrol) and Andrea (Rommey Dassouki) who will keep her memory alive in Joseph, Julia, Alexander and Adam so they  know they were loved by a grandmother they were too young to remember.
Dear sister of  Elie Mahfouz and Therese (Antoine El Helou), all of Ottawa;  George Mahfouz, Mahfouz Mahfouz, Marwan Mahfouz and Marie (late Fares Kassab), all of Lebanon.
She will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews, as well as her brothers-in-law Bassam Abou-Eid and Georges Abou-Eid and her sister-in-law  the late Norma Gedeon.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, April 24, 2018  from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home and Chapel, 1411 Hunt Club Road.
Funeral service will be held  on Wednesday, April 25, 2018  at 11:00 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Melkite Catholic Church, 1161 North River Road.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Sts. Peter and Paul Church or the Elizabeth Bruyere Memory Program to help advance research, treatments and diagnostic tools for those suffering from memory loss.
The family would like to thank Dr. Dolly Nahri for providing Georgette with exceptional care throughout her illness and to the Elizabeth Bruyere Palliative Care Unit for their outstanding support and compassion in the final days of her life.
