Kareem Nesrallah
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at the age of 75.
Kareem is survived by his loving wife, Najla, of 55 years and is lovingly remembered by his children, Donna (Joe Triolo), Mona (Stephen Barker), Christina (Dan McGrath) and Anna (Paul Kellar) and his grandchildren, Alexander, Julia, Emily, Grace and Sophie.
Kareem is survived by his brother, Khalil and sister, Linda Ambar.
He is predeceased by his sister, Evelyn Koch (nee Nesrallah).
Kareem was a well-respected and trusted member of the Lebanese Community.
He played an integral part in the development of St. Elias Cathedral and was a member of the Dewaan Foundation.
He was well known to his neighbours for his daily walks and barbequing in his driveway.
The visitation will be held at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, on Tuesday, May 24 from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm.
The funeral service will be held at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Drive, on Wednesday, May 25 at 11 am.
Interment at Capital Memorial Gardens, 3700 Prince of Wales Drive immediately following the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Elias Cathedral or The Ottawa Hospital Foundation.
The family extends a special thanks to the staff of 5 east at The Ottawa Hospital, General Campus.
