Obituary – Mona Forzley

Passed away in Ottawa on Sunday, April 7, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 84.
Beloved wife of Mansour (Victor) Forzley.
Loving mother of Donna (Marc), Ray (Lisa) and  Mike.
Cherished grandmother of Jordan, Chenise, Sasha, Emmett, Theo, Auden, and Scarlett.
Dear sister of Nassif (Rabab).
The family will receive relatives and  friends on Sunday, April 21, 2024 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Pinecrest Remembrance Services, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, April  22, 2024 at 10:30 am at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Dr.
Interment will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa.
Lunch will be served at a Celebration of Life after the interment.
For those wishing, in memoriam donations to St. Elias Cathedral would be appreciated.

Mona navigated life’s joys and challenges together with her husband from a young age, pushing themselves, their children and the generations that followed to be and do their best; and hosting countless joyful gatherings of extended family and friends.Outside of home, Mona embraced life with a spirit of adventure and curiosity. She took delight in creative pursuits like Ikebana, card-making, sewing and cooking, and enjoyed a wide circle of friends and volunteering in the Japanese cultural community.”
