Obituary – Raouf Ambar

Jido Raouf — mission accomplished! You will be profoundly missed, but your spirit
will live on forever in the hearts of your family and friends.As we remember his legacy, we announce the passing of RAOUF ABDALLAH AMBAR, born on March 25, 1925, who left us peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family, on Monday, September 30,  2024.

A devoted husband (predeceased by Camilla Laham Ambar), father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he is survived by his four children: Jamal (Nicholas Said); Jorge (Maryanne); Sonia; Abdalla (Anne-Marie), ten grandchildren: Virginia (Said), Nicole (Pedersen), Shadia, Justin, Matthew, Tiffany, Joshua, Christine, Cassandra, Abdalla Jr. and five great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Elissa, Tatyana, Ty and Hayden, all of whom he cherished deeply.

Throughout his life, Raouf  exemplified kindness, strength, and love. His passion for his family, tawle (backgammon),  wrestling, old cowboy westerns, family BBQs, and fishing left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

The family will receive relatives and friends  on Friday, October 4, 2024, between 10:00 and 11:00 am at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Drive, Ottawa, followed by funeral service.
