During the early hours of January 5, 2017, Raymond M. Adam died peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital of cancer, surrounded by family.
Predeceased by his beloved wife, Huguette Roberge, he leaves behind his devoted son, Vincent, his loving granddaughter, Danika, his brothers Henri (late Julia) and Robert, sister Henriette (Jean Hatem), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents Mansour and Jalilah.
Born in Beirut, Lebanon and a proud Canadian since 1963, Raymond will be remembered as a man who lived with great love, humour and passion, who gave without limit or expectation, whose depth of character will never be surpassed, and lastly, as a gifted and honourable businessman.
The family will be receiving condolences at Kelly Funeral Home at 585 Somerset Street West on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
A Funeral will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Melkite Catholic Church at 1161 North River Road on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 10 a.m., followed by a private Interment at Beechwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Raymond’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and/or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
