Fell into the hands of the Lord on Sunday, August 30, 2015 in Houston, Texas at the age of 51.
Beloved daughter of the late Tom and Alia Thomas.
Loving mother of Robert Kanaan (Adelle), Amanda Kanaan Tamer (Ibrahim) and Edward Kanaan.
Caring sister of George and Sam (Roula) Thomas.
Dear grandmother of George, Daniel, Elias, Aliana, Isabelle, and Joseph.
Loving aunt of Melanie, Justin, Julia, Alyssa, James and Samantha.
She will be deeply missed by her uncles George Thomas (Noel) and Abraham Thomas (Helene); her aunts Souad Thomas, Moufida Andraus of Lebanon, Helene Saheli (Elia) of Brazil, and their families.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Monday, September 7, 2015 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Drive.
In Wendy’s memory, donations to St Elias Cathedral would be appreciated.

    I met Wendy when she was walking her dog and spoke to her when we caught the 49 Bus together when she transferred at Pleasant Park Station. I thought she was a wonderful woman and am sorry about what happened to her.

    I am filled with sadness in hearing of the passing of such a beautiful soul as Wendy. My most heartfelt sympathy goes out to her children, grandchildren and all her family. Heaven has gained another Angel!

    I worked with Wendy for many years in HR at Canada Post, and can honestly say I have never met such a kind and loving person. I always enjoyed the chats we used to have together, the lunches shared, her quiet yet funny sense of humor.
