Ali Awada
February 4, 1944 – September 17, 2018.
After a courageous fight, surrounded by his family, Ali passed away at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Monday, September 17, 2018, at the age of 74.
Beloved husband of Issaaf (nee Mahfouz).
Loving father of Camille (Patricia), Lyla (Ken Jones) and Jay (Michelle).
Cherished Gido of Amanda, Adam, Nick, Jacob, Zarife, Samantha and Sami.
Son of the late Muhieddine and Leila Awada (nee Madi).
Dear brother of Hassan, Mashhour, Balsam,  the late George, late Karime Mahfouz, late Salime Muharram , late Ameline Akl,  late Wudha Darwiche  and late Kamli Hammoud .
A much loved friend and amazing uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Prayer service will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the Ottawa Main Mosque – 251 Northwestern Ave. after Zuhur prayer at 1:20 pm.
Burial services will be held at the Highland Park Cemetery – 2037 McGee Side Road, Carp, ON K0A 1L0 immediately after Janaza prayers.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the SCC headquarters at 2285 St. Laurent Blvd, Unit 10D, Ottawa, ON K1G 4Z5 on Tuesday, September 18 and Wednesday, September 19 from 6:00  to 9:00 pm.
A celebration of life will be held in Ali’s honour on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Sala San Marco, 215 Preston St.   from 5:00  to 8:00 pm.
