It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of
Dr. Elie Chukri Mouaikel
in Montreal on Monday  June 21, 2021 at the age of 79.
Beloved common‑law partner of Michelle Delisle.
Loving father of Marc (Jin Tang) and the late Joseph (1979 – 2002).
Cherished grandfather of Johnny.
Predeceased by his sister Gladys and his brothers Joseph, Antoine (late Jamal Hamra)  and Charles (Sonia Bezikian) . 
Dear uncle of Ghassan (Georgette Wazen), Joseph (Lina  Salibi), Samir (Rouaida Dagher), Dr. Patricia (Rodney McInnis), Cyril (Dr. Marlene Hajal), Patrick (Enna Tahir)  and the late Chukri (Adelina Dragatsy) Mouaikel .
Dr. Elie was born and raised in Lebanon, finished his medical school in Tour, France and specialized in Pediatrics, Oncology and Hematology in Quebec where he served the community for 50 years in Sherbrooke,  Montreal and especially in the Outaouais region. When he was not taking care of his patients and helping others he enjoyed travelling and most importantly spending time with his family and friends.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions and the cathedral capacity of 100 people, distancing and face mask regulations are in effect.
Condolences may be offered online at urgelbourgie.com or in person at  Urgel Bourgie at 6700 Rue Beaubien est, Montreal. on Friday June 25, 2021 between 6:00  and 8:00 pm.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday June 26, 2021 at 1:30 pm at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Drive, Ottawa.
The Family will receive condolences following the service.
In lieu of flowers  donations in Dr Mouaikel’s memory may be made to the Cancer Society Foundation in Montreal or to his church St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, Ottawa.
