Karim Saikaley
Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, February 23, 2024 at the age of 88.
From the day he arrived in Canada until the end, Karim worked hard to provide the best life for his family.
Serving as the foundation of our family, Karim will be dearly missed by all.
Son of the late Elias and the late Salime Saikaley.
Beloved husband and best friend of Jeannette.
Loving and dedicated father of Yvette, John (Sharon), Kalil (Lamia) and Eli (Laila).
Cherished grandfather of Laura (Joel Hayes), Gabriel (Suzanne Aramouni), Adam (Bianca), Eli Jr., Stephanie (Tarek Rahal), Dimitri (Mackenzie Aramouni), Pamela, Bianca (Randy Murray), Sebastian, Kyle (Laura Ovens), Domenic (Vittoria Santurbano), Alexandra (Robert LeBlanc) and Michael.
Admired great-grandfather of Gianna, Noah, Mason, Yasmine, Jackson, Mckenna and Arlo.
Dear brother of Joseph (Flora El Hage) and Josephine. Predeceased by his siblings Bechara, Norman, Daher, Albert, Kamel, Mariam Irani and Tamam Haddad.
Dear brother-in-law of John and Jimmy Saikaley.
He will be remembered by many nephews, nieces and friends
The family will receive relatives  and friends on Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home and Chapel, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 11:00 am at  St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Drive, Ottawa.
Interment to follow at Capital Funeral Home and Cemetery,  3700 Prince of Wales Dr., Ottawa
