Obituary – Lely Kirkish

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear Lely on Saturday, October 4, 2025, following a brief illness.
Beloved wife of the late Nicolas Kirkish.
Devoted mother of Elie (Hoda Hajjar), Sahar, Noha, and Doli Kirkish.
Cherished grandmother of Nicholas (Andrea) and Anthony (Angela) Kirkish, and loving great-grandmother of Leah, Eli, Arella, and Lucas Kirkish.
Predeceased by her siblings, Victor, Simon (Sylvia), Elie (Insaf),  Antoine, and Souheil (late Jacqueline) Hajjar.
She will be deeply missed by her immediate and extended family, the Kirkish, Hajjar, Saikaley, Khalil, Barake and Elias ; her many nieces and nephews in Canada and overseas, as well as countless relatives and friends whose lives she touched with her kindness, strength, and unwavering faith. Her legacy of compassion and devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Melkite Catholic Church, 1161 North River Road, Ottawa.
Interment at Hope Cemetery, 4660 Bank Street.
For those wishing, in lieu of flowers, donations to Sts. Peter and Paul  Catholic Church or the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
