Souad Assaad
1934 – 2026

Passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, March 4, 2026, in Ottawa, Canada, at the age of 92.
Predeceased by her husband, Hussein Assaad.
Survived by her children Zein (Isabelle Abou Khalil), Ali (Fatima Khatib), and Fatima (Hassan Sayed-Ali), as well as her 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and many neices and nephews in Canada and Lebanon.
She will be deeply missed by the members of the Assaad, Sayed-Ali, Abu Khalil, and Khatib families, who mourn her loss and will carry her memory in their hearts.
She was known for her remarkable strength, her deep devotion to her faith, and her master craftsmanship, creating beautiful works with her hands and leaving care and intention in everything she touched.
The family will receive relatives and friends  on Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Kelly Funeral Home, 580 Eagleson Road, followed by prayers.
Burial at Highlands Carp Cemetery.
