Passed away in Ottawa on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at the age of 82.
Beloved husband of Hind Faris Salika.
Devoted father of Suzie, Lara (Zahi Salman), Walid, Rima, and Tania.
Cherished grandfather of Reine, Majd, Sophia, Jana, and Lana.
Loving brother of Ghaleb Salika (Leila Abou Rabia), Aref Abou Said (Samira Slika), Samira Abou Said (Faris Metawa), Nadim Abou Said (Hind Abou Hamdan), Taher Abou Said, Leila Abou Said, Khalid Abou Said (Ghada Abou El-Ezz), and Souad Abou Said (Fouad Maawllawi).
Dear brother-in-law of Azba Faris (Hikmat Kiwan), Lamia Faris (Fayez Azzam), Mahiba Faris (Khalil Abou Dargham), Ahmad Faris (Janet Mahmoud) and May Fares (Salem Kiwan).

Najib valued family and community above all else. He will be remembered for his hard work and devotion to his family, his gregarious nature, and his warm hospitality. His door was always open to family and friends from near and far, and his home was a place of welcome and connection. His love and devotion as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, along with his wisdom and the memories we shared, will remain in our hearts forever. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, October 30, 2026 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa.
As per Najib’s wishes, funeral service and entombment will be held in Lebanon at a later date.
