A Fortieth-Day Divine Liturgy will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at 10:00 am at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Drive, Ottawa.
Beloved daughter of the late Nicholas Chedid Rahal and Wadiha Khalil Sara.
Devoted wife of the late Wadih Chaar.Loving mother of Georges (Linda Mallouk), Milia (late Joseph Farhat), Jamil (Leila Rahal), Abdallah (Micheline Shawah), Youssef (Adibé Youssef), Jacob, Jad (Joline Daou), Marzouk (Saoussan Chaar), Ferial (Kamel Younes) and Assaad (Vera Kiwan).
She will be greatly missed by her 39 grandchildren: Chahine, Dr Darine (Jad Ghie), Joelle, Caroline (Alexander Learned), Patricia (Michael Malone), Eli, Michelle (Pierre Haddad), Christian, Caroline (Assaf Chaar), Suzanne (Paul McCarney), Elias, Hélène, Christine, Suzanne (Gabriel Aramouni), Mélanie, Wadih, Grace, Jacob, Sarah-Lee (Tristan Vilon), Michael, Anthony, Christopher, Wadih (Martine Lacroix), Diana, Dany, Lina, Reine, Jessica, George, Anthony, Josephine, Joyce, Johanne, Marianne, Pascale, Rita, Georges, Joseph, Wadih and her 24 great-grandchildren.
Dear sister of Mariam Rahal; predeceased by her siblings, Fares, Habib, Adib, Saada and Adibé Rahal. She will be missed and remembered by her nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends in Canada and in Lebanon.
Passed away in Ottawa on Saturday, August 26, 2023.
