Alain Daoud  Chahwan
April 4, 1978 – July 2, 2021
It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Alain Daoud Chahwan, peacefully in his sleep on July 2, 2021 at the age of 43.
Beloved son of Souad (née Samuel)  Chahwan and the late Daoud Zakhia Chahwan .
Loving  brother of  Elias (Mayada  Hajj), Nina (Marc  Kischel), Alida (Wajih Mahfouz),  Alissar (Mustapha Ghdaye) and James, his best friend.
Caring uncle of  Elise (Larry Kojo), Jacob and  Grace Chahwan; Katarina , Carmen and Stephano  Ghdaye; Jessica and Justin Mahfouz ;  Mona and Elia Samuel.
He will be dearly missed by  his extended family in Canada and Lebanon.
Alain was a kind, warm loving person who loved to be surrounded by his family, a man of strong faith who loved nature and to be by the water, usually fishing.
Funeral service  will be held  on Friday July 9, 2021 at 11:00 am at  Saint Charbel Parish, Ottawa, Maronite Catholic Church. 245 Donald St.  and will be streamed live online on the  Church’s Facebook  .
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions and church capacity of 145 People, registration, social distancing and masks are in effect.
