Obituary – Anis Elias Barake

Anis Elias Barake
(October 1 , 1958 – October 24, 2023)
Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side in Ottawa on Tuesday October 24, 2023.
Beloved husband of  Maguy (née Hajjar).
Loving father of Elias (Sarah), Julie (Rhys), and Patrick (Desirée).
Cherished “Jeddo” of Maxim and Leo.
Caring brother of Layla (Nicholas), Lamis (Abdallah), and  Wadih.
Dear brother-in-law of Fadi (Lydia), Nizar (Mary-Anne), Abir (Elias), and Doha (Walid); and son-in-law of Insaf Hajjar.
He will be dearly missed by his  many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Anis enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and his many friends.
Many  thanks to the compassionate staff at the Ottawa Hospital and Villa Marconi.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 5:00  to 9:00 pm at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home and Chapel, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa, ON.
Funeral service will be held on  Monday, October 30, 2023 at 11:00 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Melkite Church, 1161 River Road North, Ottawa, ON.
In lieu of flowers and for those wishing, in memoriam donations can be made to  Sts. Peter and Paul Church or Villa Marconi  would be appreciated.
