Obituary – Elia Simon Awad

Elia Simon Awad
Born on March 22, 1959
Passed away peacefully  after a short and rare battle with cancer, on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at the age of 65 years young.
Beloved son of Adla Awad and the late Simon Awad.
Loving farther of Tanya Awad.
Survived by his sisters Hilda Kassis, Raghida Awad, brother George Awad and  Aunt Sheila Ghareeb.
He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and his many friends who were chosen family. He will always be remembered for his love of traveling, fishing and football.
His courage, strength and resilience was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was kind hearted, generous and a true friend to all.
Always remembered and never forgotten. May he rest in peace and watch over all who knew him and loved him.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Drive, Ottawa
Interment at Hope Cemetery, 4660 Bank St.
