“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.” (John 11:25)
Fouad Michel Tawil
(May 15, 1953 – March 27, 2024)
With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of our beloved Fouad Michel Tawil in Gatineau, Quebec. He departed from this world peacefully on March 27, 2024, at the age of 70, surrounded by the love of his family and friends.
Fouad was a beloved husband, a devoted father, a faithful brother, and a cherished uncle. His presence brought warmth, wisdom, and love into the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
He is survived by his adoring wife, Sylva Dourian (Derkhatchadourian), with whom he shared a lifetime of love and companionship.
Fouad will be deeply missed by his children, Michel, Elie, Dany, and Dana, who were his pride and joy, and whose lives he enriched immeasurably with his guidance and affection.
In addition to his immediate family, Fouad leaves behind his brother, Raymond, and his sisters, Renée and Nada, who will forever hold his memory dear in their hearts. He also leaves behind his nephew, David Tahchi, and niece, Yara Tahchi, whom he cherished as his own.
Fouad’s legacy of love and kindness will continue to resonate within the hearts of all those he touched. While we mourn his loss, we find solace in the beautiful memories we shared with him.
Upon his wishes, a funeral service and burial will be held in Lebanon, where Fouad will be laid to rest in eternal peace.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Ottawa, providing an opportunity for family and friends to come together and pray.
Fouad Michel Tawil will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
May his soul find eternal rest, and may his memory be a blessing to us all.
