It is with profound sadness that the family of George Chamoun announces his passing at the General campus of the Ottawa Hospital on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at the age of 69, peacefully and surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved son of Marie Chamoun (née Melki) and the late Youssef Chamoun, he leaves behind
his loving wife Colette (née Chammas), his cherished children Joseph, Carla (Jules) and Christina, and his treasured grandchildren Alexandre, Thalia and Sami. He will be dearly missed by his brothers and sisters Georgette (Mounir), Amal, Chamoun (Colette), Emile (Mona), Elham (Tony), Jean (Gloria) and Elie, as well as his aunt Salwa and her daughter Rose, and by his many nieces, nephews, friends and family members, in Canada and Lebanon.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, between 5:00  and 9:00 pm at Beechwood Cemetery, Funeral, and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at 11:00 am at St. Paul Syriac Catholic Church, 749 Trojan Avenue, Ottawa.

In George’s memory, donations to St. Paul Syriac Catholic Church or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
