Fell asleep in the Lord, peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 16, 2016. 
Beloved husband of Noelle Thomas.
Loving father of David (Rose), Joseph (Diane) and the late Christopher.
Caring brother of Abraham (Elaine), the late Tom and late Toufic, all of Ottawa;  the late Khalil and  late Linda Abou-Assaly , all of Lebanon .
Much loved Jiddo of Jacob, Joshua, Rachel, Matthew, and Nicholas Thomas.
Dear brother-in-law of Ray (Faye), Nouhad  (Albert) and Jamalle (Clayton).
He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins and their families in Canada and Lebanon.
Step-grandfather of Ashley and Tamara Haley and step-great grandfather to Skye.
Those who knew George loved his kind heart and generous smile.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, April 18, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club.
Funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016  at 10:00am.at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Drive.
Interment Capital Memorial Gardens Cemetery – 3700 Prince of Wales Drive, Nepean, ON K2C 3H1
