It is with great sadness that the family of
Hassan Awada
announces his passing on Friday, January 14, 2022 at the age of 92.
Hassan will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Khechfe (née Taha); children, RayAnne Hammoud
(Mohamad), Diane Merhi (Moufid), Ghassan (Rawan), Rina Haidar (Hicham); grandchildren, Nisrene, Beasann, Petra
(Abe), Mohamed, Rayanna, Calikia, Lianne, Larissa; Son of the late Muhieddine and Leila Awada (nee Madi).
Dear brother of Mashhour, Balsam, predeceased by George, Karime, Ali, Salime, Ameline, Wudha and Kamli. He will be
greatly missed by numerous family members and friends.
Prayer service will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 at the Ottawa Main Mosque – 251 Northwestern Ave. after Zuhur prayer at 12:00 pm.
Burial services will be held at the Ottawa Muslim Cemetery – 1668 Manotick Station Rd, Greely, ON, K4P 1M9 immediately after Janaza prayers.

The Awada family are eternally grateful to Dr. Fawzi Mankal for his compassion and exemplary medical care that was demonstrated during Hassan’s life and courageous acceptance of his passing. His tenacity and love of life will continue to shine and manifest itself in all of us.
Blessed is the man who always kept the life after death in his view, who remembered the Day of judgment through all his deeds, who led a contented life, and who was happy with the lot that
God had destined for him.
