Passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the age of 62.
Beloved daughter of the late Elia and Angele Mahfouz.
Loving wife  of Moufid Barakat.
Much loved  mother of Ziad, Fadi (Sandra Harb), Marwan (Minya Dabic), Kristina (Joseph De  Rosa).
Cherished grandmother of Ella, Mia, Olivia, Roman and Theodore Barakat; Sebastian, Austin and Gia De Rosa.
Loving sister of Michel, Helen (Peter Abraham) and  Nabil (Lilliane Saikaley).
Dear aunt of Angela (Paul Safadi), Ryan, Branden and Marisa Abraham;  Zachary and Jasmine Mahfouz.
She will be dearly missed by her many cousins, relatives and friends  in Canada and Lebanon.
Huguette’s endless love and devotion to her family and friends will forever resonate through her angelic voice and eternal memories of her magical cooking. Nothing filled her heart more than being surrounded by her loving husband, children and grandchildren. She will be forever missed and never forgotten.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday January 12, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00am at Sts. Peter and Paul Melkite Catholic Church, 1161 North River Road,  followed by funeral service.
Interment Hope cemetery.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions and church capacity of 130 people at one time, distancing and face mask are in effect.
