Obituary – Issam Fouad El-Chakieh

Issam El-Chakieh
Passed away in Ottawa on Monday, October 16, 2023 at the age of  72.
Beloved son of the late Fouad and Saada Nasr El-Chakieh.
Much loved husband of Raghida Karam El-Chakieh.
Loving father of Maya and Rita (Jose Francisco Aybar).
Dear brother of Samir (Noha Abdel-Ahad), Lodi (Elias  Abdulnour) and Sami (Natalie Benard); predeceased by Mounir (Houda Samaha) and  Michel.
Issam arrived in Canada in 1974 and made it a new home for him and welcomed his many family members that came after him. His love, generosity and loyalty to his family and friends was something to admire and live by.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends in Canada & Lebanon.
His family would like to thank all the team at the Heart Institute and the Ottawa Hospital, as well as the Bayshore Home Care team for all their efforts in his healthcare.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 from  5:00 to  9:00 pm at Les Jardins du Souvenir,  75 Blvd. Fournier, Gatineau.
Funeral service will be held on  Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Drive, Ottawa.
Interment at Les Jardins du Souvenir. 75 Blvd. Fournier, Gatineau.
