Obituary – Jean George Nassar

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Queensway Carleton Hospital in Ottawa after a long and courageous battle with PSP.
We were not ready to let him go but the Lord called back His faithful servant.
Predeceased by his beloved parents George Nassar and Georgette Bahou.
Survived by his loving wife Noha Ayad and his children Maryse (Ramsey), Marc (Monica) and George;  his grandchildren, Issa, John, Gigi, Jean-Marc, Lucas and Marciana.
He will also be missed by his brother Jamal (Brigitte) and his sister Janet Hanna.
Born in Jaffa, Palestine on January 31, 1946, he was most passionate about his faith, family, Falasteen and his profession as a pharmacist. He will always be remembered for his penchant for a good laugh, a good meal, an intellectual conversation, a rousing political debate, his curious mind and most importantly his compassionate heart. He pushed his children to succeed and was proud of their every accomplishment.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 4:00  to 8:00  at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home and Chapel,, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa,
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Drive, Ottawa, ON.
Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa.
