Obituary – Michel Ibrahim Smiley

Michel Ibrahim Smiley
(March 1, 1945 – April 25, 2024)
Michel passed away peacefully in hospital surrounded by his very loving family.
Michel will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
May his soul rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to us all.
Beloved husband of Jeanette Semaan of 53 years.
Loving father of Marianne Smiley (Neil), Michelle Smiley (Janeth) and  Manuel Smiley (Gelena).
Cherished grandfather of Laila, Ashton, Melania, Sebastian and Jasmine-Paris.
Much loved brother of Fouad (Beverly Kouri) and Sleiman (late Audet Rizk); predeceased by Adel (Afaf Tayyar), Sam (Marie-Abou Arrage), Souad Smiley, Khalil (Georgette Abou Rizk) and Nouhad (Fouad Khoury).
Michel was a proud Lebanese man, a devoted husband, brother, father and grandfather, Michel’s gentle and sweet nature touched the lives of all who knew him.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, April 30. 2024  from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and  6:00 to 8:00 pm at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home & Chapel, 1411 Hunt Club Rd.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 12:00 pm at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Dr.
Interment Beechwood Cemetery.
