Obituary – Racha Aboutara Sabanegh

Racha Aboutara Sabanegh
Fell asleep in the Lord and departed our temporal life in the hope of Resurrection and life eternal on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at the age of 47.
Beloved wife of Maher Sabanegh.
Loving mother of Maya and Nicolas.
Devoted daughter of Mouna Awaragi, and the late Elias Aboutara.
Loving  sister of Bassel Aboutara of Syria.
A dear to her in-laws, Nicola Sabanegh (Therese Elged),
Maha Sabanegh (Saad Alakel) and Majed Sabanegh (Layal Abrexia).
Racha battled lung cancer without complaints and with an everlasting faith, smile and joy.
She leaves behind her a profound impact to those who have known her.
Family and friends may pay their respect on Friday, March 3r, 2023, from 10:00 to 11:00am at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Drive, followed by funeral services.
Interment at Beechwood Funeral Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue.
Family and friends are also welcomed to offer their condolences to the family on Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at St. Elias Cathedral’s basement, 2975 Riverside Drive.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Queensway Carleton
Hospital in Ottawa for their good care of Racha.
In lieu of flowers and for those wishing, in memoriam donations to St. Elias Cathedral would be appreciated.
