Obituary – Rizk (Ray) Naufal

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Rizk (Ray) Naufal, at age 93, on Saturday, November 16 in the company of his loving family.
Rizk is survived by his dearest wife of 63 years, Georgette Naufal (née Abdallah), his beloved children, Robert (Sandra) and Donna, and his cherished grandchildren, Gregory, Jillian, and Jacob (son of Michael Moffatt). Rizk is also survived by his siblings: Maurice (Vera), Badih (late Hind), Sally (Kalil Boushey) and Josephine.
Predeceased by his parents, Nicolas and Almaza Naufal and two brothers, Joseph (Nova) and Afif.
Rizk was a caring brother-in-law and uncle to his many nieces and nephews, and he was a great neighbour and friend to many.
He lived a life filled with adventure, travel, and tales. He was a devoted family man, community member, and man of faith.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at St. Elias Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Drive, Ottawa, ON, beginning from 10:00 to 11:00 am followed by funeral service.
Interment at Hope Cemetery, 4660 Bank Street, Ottawa, ON.
Rizk’s family is grateful for the excellent care provided by his doctors and his entire medical team, especially in recent years and in his last days.
