Salim Bechara Choueiri

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear Salim, who departed this life in Ottawa surrounded by love on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at the age of 84.
Devoted husband of the late Blanche Choueiri (Boushey), with whom he shared a life built on family, faith, and love.
Cherished father of Jennifer and Jason (Sereen).
Proud and loving Gido of Miguel, Cruz, Aiden and Sam, who brought him immeasurable joy and pride.
Beloved brother of Norma (Late Elie), Gretta (Samir), Youllande (Late Gaby) and Abdo.
He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all his relatives, extended family, and friends. A special place in his heart was held by his brother-in-law and best friend Eddy Boushey (Georgina), whose bond and friendship meant so much throughout his life.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and quiet wisdom that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 5:00 to 9:00  p.m. at McEvoy Shields Funeral Home 1411 Hunt Club Road.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Drive, Ottawa.
Private interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, for those wishing, in memoriam donations to  St. Elias Cathedral  would be appreciated.
