Obituary – Salwa Chamoun Moussa

Peacefully fell asleep in the Lord, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at hospital at the age of 84.
Her great love and strong faith will be dearly missed by her family.
Devoted wife of the late Youssef Moussa.
Loving mother of Rose (Mike Sleiman), and forever cherished by her three grandchildren Charlaine, Joseph (Anastasia) and Marlo.
Dear aunt of Georgette (Mounir), George (Colette), Amal, Chamoun (Colette), Emile (Mona), Elham (Tony), Jean (Gloria) and Elie. Survived by her sister-in-law Marie Chamoun.
Predeceased by her brother Joseph Chamoun (Marie), and sisters Marie (Estefan), Wahida (Youssef) and Josephine (Dahoud): and her dear nephew George Chamoun.
Also predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Abdallah and Hatune Ozgun, Souro and Gabriel Jobran, Meleke Ozgun and Naima Erkan (Sabo). Also survived by her many nieces and nephews of Europe, Lebanon and Brazil.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Beechwood Cemetery, 280 Beechwood Avenue,
Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 11:00 am at Saints Peter and Paul Melkite Catholic Church, 1161 North River Rd.
Service will be given exceptionally by visiting Father Jacques Hanna from Saint Mary’s and Saint Jacques of Nisibis Syriac Orthodox Cathedral in Montreal.
Interment at Notre-Dame Cemetery, 455 Montréal Road.
A special thank you to the nurses and doctors at the Ottawa Civic Hospital Intensive Care Unit.
