Obituary – Terry Jaja

“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.” (John 11:25)

Terry Jaja
(September 3, 1953 – March 30, 2024)
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Terry Jaja at the age of 70 in Ottawa, Ontario.
Terry faced his battle with cancer with remarkable strength and resilience, surrounded by his loving family until his last breath. He was a beloved husband, a devoted father and father-in-law, a faithful brother, a cherished uncle, and the proudest grandfather.
He is survived by his adoring wife, Diane, with whom he shared a lifetime of pure love and devotion. Terry will be deeply missed by Diane, their children Frederick (Marie-Josée), Christopher (Kristen), and Jessica, and their grandchildren Jasmine, Dalia, Benjamin, and William. They were his pride and joy, and his guidance and affection enriched their worlds immeasurably.
In addition to his immediate family, Terry leaves behind in Lebanon his mother, Maria Semaan (late Farid Elabed), his brothers Anthony (Nahia) and Raymond (Vivianne), his sisters Asmahan (late Salim) and Salwa (Miled), along with many cherished uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and colleagues who will forever hold his memory dear in their hearts.
Terry brought kindness, wisdom, and laughter to the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of generosity and community-building will continue to resonate within our hearts. While we mourn his loss, we find solace in knowing that he is now at peace.
