Obituary – Wafaa Saab

The family is deeply saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Wafaa Saab, in the early morning hours of Friday, January 3, 2025 at her home in Ottawa at the age of 65 after  a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Predeceased by her parents Androwis and Tamam Nesrallah, her sisters Najla (late Mikhail Nasrallah), Nawal, and Amal (Ghassan Nasrallah).
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Issa Saab, her children Zena (Sami Musleh) and Ziad (Marie-France Joly), grandchildren Majeda and Zain, sisters, Marie (Raymond El-Khouri) and Hind (Nayef Kazan), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Wafaa immigrated to Ottawa, Canada from Kfarmishki, Lebanon in 1981, where she settled, married, and worked hard to raise her family.
She enjoyed spending time with her sisters and could often be found hosting family and friends in her home.
She spent years as a server at Father & Sons restaurant near the University of Ottawa, serving generations of students, teachers and community members.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 10:00  to 11:00 am at St. Elias Antiochan Orthodox Cathedral, 2975 Riverside Drive, Ottawa, followed by funeral service.
Interment at Hope Cemetery.
For those wishing, in lieu of flowers, donations to  St. Elias Cathedral  or Myeloma Canada, would be appreciated.
