Obituary – Zeina Jaklis Azoury

Returned to our heavenly Father on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. in Spain at the age of 55.
Beloved daughter of Habib Jaklis and Samira Baroud Jaklis. Grew up in both Beirut, Lebanon, and Ottawa, Canada.
Devoted wife of Naji Azoury.
Loving mother of Joe Azoury.
Dear sister of Dr. Ziad Jaklis (Pascale Eid) and Walid Jaklis (Tanya Bathiche).
Caring aunt of  Thomas, Karina and Lina.

Much loved neice of George Baroud (Late Mona Ghattas) and Jean Baroud (Louise Plouffe).
Zeina had a heart of gold and a gentle light that touched everyone she met.
She attended the University of Ottawa and later returned to support and guide students through their own university journeys.
She married the love of her life, Naji, and together they had a son, Joe – the absolute light of their lives. Zeina’s love and devotion to Joe were unwavering; she nurtured him with tenderness, strength, and joy.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Saint Charbel Parish Ottawa, Maronite Catholic Church, 245 Donald St. Ottawa, followed by Funeral Service.
For those wishing, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart Institute at the University of Ottawa or Saint Charbel Parish ,  would be appreciated.
Interment at Saint-Joseph d’Orléans Cemetery,  2757 St Joseph Blvd, Orléans, ON K1C 1G4
